I am a licensed clinical psychologist based in Northern Virginia. I earned my bachelor’s degree in psychology and mathematics at the University of Mary Washington and completed my Ph.D. in clinical psychology from the APA- and PCSAS-accredited program at the University of Delaware. I then completed my APA-accredited clinical internship at Washington State University and my postdoctoral fellowship at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte.
Over the past eleven years, I have worked in a variety of treatment settings providing evidence-based assessment and psychotherapy services to children, adults, couples, and families. I have worked in inpatient and outpatient hospitals, oncology clinics, university counseling centers, and private practices.
In addition to my clinical practice, I am a professor of psychological science at the University of Mary Washington. I teach courses on clinical psychology, psychopathology, statistics, and biological psychology. I have also published extensively on the neuroscience of anxiety, depression, and relationship concerns.
